The Rou Estate
The Rou Estate is an exclusive, privately owned estate in a magnificent location high above the northeast coastline of Corfu. The 200-year old village, with a village square lined with plumbago, agapanthus and numerous connecting steps, is nestled within sheltering hills in a sun-drenched position with breathtaking views, about 10/15 minutes drive from the sea.The Rou Estate was rated No.36 in The Times list of The World's Best Holidays in 2007.
The luxury development of 13 private houses, most of them original village houses, renovated to a very high standard, is set within a wildflower garden designed by Jennifer Gay, Designer and Member of The Mediterranean Garden Society.
Each house covers approximately 100-250 square metres over two floors, and whilst the comfortably settled atmosphere has been retained, modern technology has contributed a great deal to the luxurious interiors, stylish kitchens and floor cooling in summer. Each house has its own plunge pool with outside terraces and a shared 26m swimming pool.

Campanula House (No.1)
Campanula House is the only house on the Rou Estate set in its own private gardens and olive grove. Spacious and airy, with a small half moon shaped pool situated at the bottom end of the gardens and olive grove and a guesthouse at the other side of the courtyard, this is the perfect romantic hideaway.

Muscari House is one of the oldest houses in Rou. It is situated at the centre of the village; just off the village square. There is a very pretty and peaceful sitting area to the front of the house overlooking the stone walkway, trimmed with rosemary and lavender bushes, that takes you to the close-by main swimming pool.

Thyme House (No.10)
Thyme occupies a wonderful position at the edge of the village, and has superb, unimpeded views over the surrounding hillsides and out to sea. It has the considerable advantage of its own private 10m x 5m pool and pool terrace complete with a traditional corfiot outbuilding currently used as a pool house (but which could act as extra guest or staff accommodation).
