| The Molino is designed in classic Andalucian style around a courtyard with fountains and trees, surrounded by an enclosed cloistered corridor from which most rooms are accessed. The Moorish influence of the area is very apparent in the architecture with exceptionally large rooms, high vaulted beamed ceilings and alcoves displaying beautiful lighting effects. Specially commissioned artwork complimenting the decor combine with the architecture to give an overall effect of stunning elegance. The Molino has a 12 x 7 metre infinity swimming pool, a cinema, tennis court, games room, terrace bar, 5 luxury air-conditioned bedroom suites which accommodate up to 10 and a further cottage for staff or 2 more guests. 10 minutes drive away is Gaucin, a classic white village with an interesting history dating back to pre-Roman times. The views from the village are probably the most stunning in southern Europe with vistas of two continents and three countries accross the Genal Valley to Gibraltar, Morocco and the Riff mountains. Gaucin has both Spainish and European restaurants, local bars, 2 banks, gift shops, a chemist, a petrol station and 3 mini supermarkets. Local activites include many fiestas, along with horse riding, bird watching and nature walks. 30 minutes from the Molino is the Costa del sol coast line with numerous golf courses. Marbella is 1 hours drive as is the ancient town of Ronda with its spectacular gorge and famous bull ring. |
