| In a secluded location on the outskirts of Gaucin, and within easy walking distance of the village amenities, the villa has superb views over the shimmering mountains and up to the castle. Situated at the beginning of the track that leads to the castle, the villa has the added benefit of easy parking. The gardens are particularly lovely, the trees, flowers and lawns bathing the house in a fragrant coolness and lending it unusual privacy. On the lower level, an elegant, shaded outdoor dining area overlooks the garden and the beautiful swimming pool while a broad terrace on the higher level, paved with honeycoloured tiles, allows perfect relaxation in sun or shade while enjoying the stunning, far-reaching views. The bedrooms and sitting room, with their high, beamed ceilings are large and cool and decorated in exquisite colours, highlighted by some very decorative pieces of local furniture, paintings, pottery and fabrics. The kitchen is very up-to-date, and there is satellite TV and XBox. Gaucin is generally a quiet sleepy village apart from early August when the colourful and exciting Feria takes place – nights to remember!
