| Set in 17 acres of green Umbrian countryside, this 200 year old restored stone villa is set in immaculate lawned gardens of olive, oak trees, just 16 km from the medieval town of Orvieto.
Restored by its interior designer owners a few years ago, the property offers accommodation of a very high standard. The sitting room a magnificent luminous space with high ceilings is beautifully furnished with antiques and paintings and runs the whole length of the property. This room has an unusual dining table made from an antique billiard table. Off the elegant entrance hall there is also a more intimate library/study and a state-of-the-art kitchen with stainless steel appliances. Two spacious bedrooms with pretty fabrics and linen om the first floor have also been furnished to this very high standard and the four bedrooms on the second floor have air-conditioning. Each bedroom has excellent en suite or private facilities with Duravait or Phillipe Stark fixtures.
A broad terrace with wisteria covered pergolas wraps round the villa on two sides and a paved dining terrace is perfect for entertaining in the summer.
Just a short stroll from here is the long pool with a shady pergola and there is plenty of space in the gardens for children to play. Only a short drive from the house is the pretty lake side medieval town of Bolsena with its cafes, restaurants and shops whilst the lesser known but important centres of Magliano, Pitigliano and Todi are within comfortable driving distance.
Cookery lessons, wine tastings, as well as art, history and garden tours can be arranged and tailored to suit each group.
This is without doubt one of our best Umbria villas and our discerning guests have very much enjoyed the comfort, elegance and excellent staff at this very well-run property.
