| The historic six acre estate of Compignano is set within a National Park on a south-west slope in the foothills of the Apuan Alps with views of the sea in the distance and Pisa to the south. The property is terraced with olive, fig and fruit trees and is secluded and exceptionally attractive.
The large stone farmhouse and the barn at Compignano are divided into three completely independent properties each with their own garden areas and terraces.
The Barn is set in a panoramic setting approximately twenty metres from the main house and is closer to the pool. At ground floor level there are two double bedrooms with bathrooms en suite. Both bedrooms open out to a terrace with magnificent views with the sea visible in the distance.
The first floor is accessed via a stone staircase from the garden. There is a sunny sitting room furnished in typical country style with sofa, chairs, wooden dining table and chairs, wood burning stove and modern fitted kitchen area.
From the terraces and beautiful mature lawned gardens with climbing roses, geraniums in terracotta pots and other shrubs, there are magnificent panoramic views over the fir and olive trees of the hills and valleys below.
The swimming pool in set into a grassy terrace at a short distance from the Barn. Some guests will want to simply relax in this glorious, peaceful, rural setting, others may wish to go for long walks and picnics in the surrounding countryside and sample delicious local specialities at informal restaurants nestling in the hills.
