| The original ancient trulli house captured the heart of its dedicated owner who has been carefully and lovingly restoring the house over the last few years years, whilst managing to retain the integrity of the original structure.
Parco del Vaglio now boasts a large private swimming pool, extensive gardens, terraces and a choice of outside dining and sitting areas.
Topped with conical trullis, the house has deceptively spacious interiors compared to other trulli houses in the area and can be opened up for a group of 7 to 8 or cleverly divided off for a smaller group of 4. The thick walls ensure that the house stays cool in the summer and guests will find that sleeping under the cone of an ancient trullo is a fun way to experience this attractive form of architecture unique to Puglia. The three comfortable bedrooms are all furnished to a high standard, each one with a distinctive style and a modern shower or bathroom.
Guests should note that the fourth bedroom is smaller than the others and is more suitable for a single person.
Inside there are two kitchen areas for each side of the trullo house and a small sitting room.
Puglia is for nature, sea, food and culture enthusiasts, far removed from the glamour of Porto Cervo or Capri. Instead, gentle day trips to local hill towns such as Ostuni and Locorotondo or down to the coast for swimming and boat hire is the norm. Parco del Vaglio is an exceptional house in an area of Italy which is growing in popularity. |
