| Walking along the pathway from Positano, it must come as a wonderful surprise to realise that the l4th Century Saracen tower built on the rocks overlooking the sea is in fact your holiday home. Anyone who knows Positano will also know Baldo, whose restaurant is a byword with the cognoscenti. Baldo bought La Trasita some years ago, and converted it into three apartments and the result is a unique venue for a special holiday that we think is difficult to equal. Romantically perched on this gorgeous stretch of coastline, there are fantastic views out to sea and to Positano. Comfortably furnished, each air-conditioned apartment has its own access and the star apartment, La Trasita has steps leading to a huge circular roof terrace with sensational views, ideal for sunbathing. There is a wonderful sea bathing near the Tower, easily reached by swimming round from the nearby beach. La Trasita is only ten minutes walk from bustling Positano beach – where you can pick up one of the many boats which can be hired for the day. |
