| Perched on top of the hill in the tiny rural hamlet of Anemoyiannatika, and surrounded by an extensive walled and terraced garden, Levanda has a view that is especially fine at sunset, when the coastline opposite turns to the colour of red wine – a remarkable phenomenon much celebrated by artists and poets. Inside, the house has been extensively renovated and is comfortably furnished in a modern Greek style. It is the two pretty outside dining areas, however, that are especially attractive. There is a separate, fenced, children’s pool area. The owner visits occasionally to tend to his garden, and is always more than willing to share fresh fruit with his guests. A pleasant walk (about 25 minutes) down the hillside brings you to Loggos, the beautiful harbour with its waterfront bars and tavernas. |
