| Looking down over the thickly wooded hills so typical of Lefkada, the eye focuses on a beautiful bay below, where the green backs of numerous islands rise from the water like a group of turtles basking in the sun. Villa Villy is a recently built house, attractively finished in a blend of stone and melon-pink stucco. Set on a hillside fragrant with the scent of pine and cypress, it overlooks a splendid terrace which forms the setting for its lovely private swimming pool. It has its own gardens, and in spring and autumn the wild flowers brighten the groves of trees beyond. Every room in this attractively furnished villa is designed to make the most of the stunning view, with individual balconies. The quiet village of Perigiali lies just 700 metres away down on the coast, with its own small beach called Passa. Fishing boats tie up at the village quayside, virtually guaranteeing a pleasant meal of fresh fish in the area. The busy and cosmopolitan town of Nidri is 2km down the coast and well worth a visit. The beauty of its setting cannot be denied, and it is the starting point for some wonderful boat trips, and definitely a place for yacht spotting.
