| It takes 20/25 minutes to walk down to Aghios Nikitas – though the return journey uphill inevitably takes longer. It is only 5/8 minutes away by car. The villa has its own private swimming pool and overlooks a beautiful view down to the village and the glorious coastline. Daphne is set slightly apart, a pleasant single-storey cottage, furnished with appealing but stylish simplicity. The natural garden surroundings are most attractive and the blissfully serene views are the best possible antidote to a stressful life. After a day spent enjoying Lefkada’s magnificent beaches or exploring its unspoilt countryside, a tranquil evening at the villa, winding down with a cool drink while swallows skim the pool and the setting sun gilds the sea, is true bliss.
