| Little but the sound of the cicadas in the trees and the laughter of those enjoying the pool disturbs the tranquility of the olive grove all around. For a larger house sleeping ten, Mokoras feels remarkably intimate, with natural colours complementing furnishings of the highest quality, including four-poster double beds. Ground floor rooms open to a shady veranda,while upstairs bedrooms have their own terrace and views towards the rugged Albanian coast. The pool terrace is delightful, shaded on one side by tall trees, and featuring a roofed outdoor dining room with built-in barbecue, conveniently connected to the kitchen. Backed by old vineyards once cultivated by the villagers, the small and very pretty Yialiskari beach lies below the villa, just a short walk away. There is a marvellous variety of bathing, with plenty of rocky ledges and overhangs for snorkellers to explore and flat pebbles for sun-worshippers. Each within walking distance, Kalami has plenty to amuse youngsters of varying ages, while Agni provides unforgettable lunches or dinners at its three outstanding restaurants by the water’s edge. |
