Nepenthe is one of several villas scattered amongst the olive groves along the hillside overlooking St Stephano accessed by a fairly steep driveway. Bathed in sunshine all day (early risers will be rewarded with a breathtaking view of dawn breaking over the mainland!) its terraces are comfortably furnished for the enjoyment of outdoor life. A spacious living room opens on to a wide covered terrace overlooking the pretty tiled swimming pool, appropriately decorated with a dolphin motif. Furnished and decorated in pale, understated tones that allow the brilliant colours of the scenery to speak for themselves, the house is spacious and uncluttered, cooled throughout by ceiling fans. At night, the twinkling lights of the St Stephano waterfront, so clearly visible below the villa, are a beacon to the undeniable pleasures of a relaxed drink or harbourside meal.
