| The owners of this beautifully light and airy house are Danish, and the décor is everything that we have come to expect of Scandinavian design. Pale colours predominate in a setting of high ceilings and minimal furnishings. Two of the lower ground floor bedrooms can be closed off from the main house, and have their own separate entrance, making this very convenient for guests staying with the main party who require a certain degree of independence. The outdoor living area is charming – a ‘comma-shaped’ pool, surrounded with a paved terrace and shaded by olive trees growing on the bank above, is on the same level as the ground floor. A gated fence is available to separate the pool from the lovely outdoor dining and sitting area, that has an awning for additional shade. Tucked into the hillside, there are beautiful views of the sea and across to the mainland – a view that is quite unforgettable when the full moon rises. |
