PROPERTY INFORMATION

Barbati Beach is one of the longest and most spectacular beaches in Corfu – a mile-long sweep of dazzling white pebbles and translucent blue water. The backdrop of Mount Pantocrator’s steep crags balances the view perfectly. Barbati Beach House is situated at the far end of the beach and at the end of an unmade road and has retained its privacy in spite of several changes to the resort. The single-storey villa is rather colonial in appearance and opens on to broad, paved terraces that run right to the edge of the beach, where there is a low wall and a lockable gate. Part of the covered terrace has been furnished and equipped to make a charming conservatory dining room, lit by candle chandeliers. This is a good house for a relaxed holiday with pleasantly spacious rooms, an extensive library of light reading, and wellequipped outdoor areas. There are excellent water sports of various kinds within walking distance of the villa, and some very pleasant waterside restaurants. The stretch of beach in front of the house has just the right combination of shingle, pebbles and rocks to provide some variety in swimming – or snorkeling – if you can tear yourself away from the gorgeous pool.
