| You will find Le Vieux Figuier literally just off a tree lined road only two or three minutes driving distance from the sophisticated town of Uzès, with its famous Saturday markets with its 200 stalls, numerous restaurants, chic boutiques, fountains and medieval square. Uzès is officially recognised as a town of the Arts with its strong Italian influence, important architecture and enchanting narrow winding streets. It is delightfully rich in culture and history. This is a bright and open family house where every effort has been made to create a comfortable home, while still maintaining the region’s typical Provençal style. The main living rooms have attractive large windows looking out over both the swimming pool and wonderful views of the vineyards beyond. There is a separate apartment, perhaps suitable for grandparents seeking the occasional respite from their extended family or a couple wanting privacy away from the hub of the main house. The pool area is surrounded by a large sunny terrace and provides the ideal place to soak up the Provençal sunshine. The summer house provides the perfect place to sit and eat ‘al fresco’ or to escape from the midday sun to read and enjoy the views. It is also a good spot to enjoy aperitifs and be dazzled by the breathtaking sunsets. The property may also be taken out of peak weeks without the use of the apartment. |
