| Once you have arrived at the house and entered into the courtyard, the peaceful heart of the house, you will find it difficult to leave. Immediately faced with a pretty bower of vines providing a shaded cover to the wrought iron, mosaic dining table, a fantastic place to spend time on long, summer evenings sampling the local food and wine. Whilst we were being shown the house for the first time, the kitchen was alive with activity, a cookery lesson in full swing, the professional French chef, demonstrating with easy flair how to rustle up a stuffed Ballotine of chicken! Group or family cooking lessons are available on request for all guests. The kitchen is superbly equipped for such events, with a central, marble surfaced cooking area, large state of the art hob and oven and ample space to inspire even the most reluctant cooks. The majority of the bedrooms have their own ensuite facilities and are decorated in pale, calm colours with natural, textured rugs, pale stripped floors, exposed beams and pretty fabrics, rustic yet tasteful in style and with a high standard of comfort. There is a private pool area with comfortable pool furniture, and children will love the enormous playing area, a huge expanse of grass which is perfect for a football match or game of cricket. |
