With its large swimming pool, private tennis court, croquet lawn and large covered barbecue there is plenty to do here; alternatively, why not stroll ten minutes through part of the 80 acres of grounds to the property's own small lake where one can relax reading, painting or birdwatching. Nearby is Forcalquier, a pretty market town where one can go cycling, horseriding and hot-air ballooning. Down the road in St Michel, the Observatoire de Haute-Provence discovered in the 30's that the area of Forcalquier has a microclimate with clear skies for most of the year.
