A 17th century building complete with original beams, shutters and fireplaces, La Taniere exudes peace and calm with its soft colours of cream and offwhite subtly used to maximise space and light. Local furniture from antique shops and French country living combine with more modern 18th century style pieces from Sweden and other textiles and paints from London. The kitchen is classic blue and white with an existing antique tiled floor and on the top floor a fabulous original hexagonal tile floor was discovered during the renovation process. Many of the rooms including the main bathroom enjoy balconies with breathtaking views to Grasse and the outstanding surrounding countryside. Outside steps lead from the top to the bottom of the ‘Babylonian’ style terraces on the lowest of which is the stylishly designed turquoise mosaic lined swimming pool.
