| St Paul-de-Vence is a beautiful medieval village, set on a rocky outcrop with marvellous views over the Mediterranean on one side and the Esterel Mountains on the other. It is officially one of the most beautiful villages in France and its exceptional clarity of light has attracted and inspired many artists. So much so that as well as a good selection of restaurants and boutiques there are 70 art gallery and work shops in this beguiling little village. Down on the coast the equally historic Cagnes sur Mer, once a fishing port is now a laid back and friendly seaside resort with a wide sandy beach and an array of water sports on offer. Hacienda is approached from a quiet street through a gated entrance. Its rooms are large, airy and comfortable with high ceilings and views to the terrace, gardens and pool. It also features all modern conveniences, including plasma screen TV, satellite and DVD and a superb kitchen.The house though lovely in its’ own right is outshone by the beautiful gardens. A shady terrace leads down to the private pool and you can always find a cool spot in the garden in which to relax and enjoy a book or a glass of wine. There is also a floodlit boules pitch for late night fans or newcomers of the game.
