| Set further back above the beach at Stonehaven Bay, above Yellowbird and Sand Pebbles, Hawksbill House has been built in a traditional Caribbean style, yet is contemporary in its décor and furnishings. The light and airy open-plan living/dining area is attractively decorated in neutral pastel colours with vibrant fabrics and boasts three separate seating areas. French doors open out onto a wide, covered and furnished verandah, which has good sea views and is the perfect spot for al fresco meals or just relaxing with a good book. From the verandah,steps lead down to a teak sun deck and swimming pool. The spacious kitchen and adjoining laundry room are both very well equipped and all of the ground floor rooms have ceiling fans which assist the natural ventilation. Upstairs, under the wide eaves of the traditional style roof, there are three air-conditioned bedrooms, one double and two twins each with an en suite shower room. Doors from each bedroom open on to a covered first floor balcony from which there are relaxing views down towards the sea. Hawksbill has a distinctive circular swimming pool, which is very private and surrounded by a well-furnished and paved terrace. There is also a built-in barbecue pit and outdoor shower, all set amongst lush tropical gardens. |
