| Situated amongst fruit trees, shrubs and exotic plants, in over two acres of landscaped tropical grounds, Petrus has a very private but not remote setting in the lush hills of the Prospect Estate, an old copra plantation. From the property there are magnificent views down over the Caribbean Sea and across the Arnos Vale hills. The traditional Caribbean style of plantation house design has been used to good effect to create a villa with well-proportioned rooms, magnificent terraces and colourful decoration, including teak floors and unique pieces of art. In the main villa there are six well set up bedrooms, arranged over two wings. Each of the bedrooms has a different colour scheme and all have wonderful sweeping views of the sea and hills. The seventh bedroom is in a self-contained annexe. An expansive wrap-around verandah is the perfect place for just soaking up the views, reclining in the hammock with a good book, or enjoying leisurely meals. Steps lead down from the verandah to the gardens and the impressive 22 metre long swimming pool, which is surrounded by furnished sun terraces from which there are more excellent views over the surrounding countryside and the sea. In the evening the pool and grounds are illuminated with soft lighting. An orchard and a vegetable garden within the grounds offer fresh produce for your meals. |
