Gran Hotel Elba Estepona, Andalucia, Spain
This very impressive hotel is situated right on a semi-private beach, part of the Estepona Arena Beach development. Most of the hotel’s stylish, traditionally furnished bedrooms have sea views; bathrooms are large and very well equipped.
There are three restaurants, offering Asian, Italian and Spanish cuisine, and, for amusement within the hotel itself, there is a pleasant cocktail bar and a piano bar. Entertainment is very varied and well-organised and includes musicals, themed dinners, dance shows.
Perhaps one of the hotel’s greatest assets is its Thalasso Spa, with over 60 treatments designed to send the guest away restored and relaxed. There is no lack of opportunity for activity, within the hotel in one of the outdoor or indoor pools, at the fitness centre, or in the surrounding countryside, where there are facilities for horse-riding, jeep safaris, and, of course, a game of golf. Sea trips include dolphin-spotting and fishing, and should all else pall, the hotel has its own exclusive shopping arcade!
