DESTINATION INFORMATION

Only six miles long and distinguished by dramatic contrasts in scenery, Paxos has remained surprisingly unspoilt, largely because of the ultimately beneficial inconvenience involved in reaching it!

Faster ferries and an excellent sea plane service have shortened the transfer time but have done little to change Paxos in other ways. On the whole, the island is one huge olive grove, dramatized here and there by the brighter green of pine trees, and offset by the startlingly vivid hues of the sea. The gentle hills and sparkling bays of the east coast are in sharp contrast to the wild drama of the west coast cliffs. Gaios, Loggos and Lakka are the three main settlements, where local life goes on around the visitors and boats from sleek yachts to creaky old fishing boats. Unsophisticated, utterly charming, Paxos still rewards its visitors with a taste of the truly Greek way of life.

Why not upgrade your transfer to Paxos on the Seaplane which takes just 9 minutes.
