History
Forty years ago ‘Corfu Villas’, now CV Travel, was a twinkle in the eye of a husband and wife team who fell in love with the beautiful north east coast of Corfu with its traditional Greek harbours, historic villages, crystal clear waters, and beachside tavernas. Discovering and sharing villa `finds’ with friends soon grew into a small and highly personal business offering exceptional holiday houses in unrivalled settings. Villas were photographed and presented in hand-finished brochures, sent out with a note asking for them to be returned! These days, the Greek Islands remain our flagship destination, most notably Corfu, but our villas and hotels now appear in beautifully designed brochures or on our informative and friendly website.
40th Anniversary Year
Celebrating our 40th anniversary in 2012, award-winning CV Travel continues to be proud of our exceptional portfolio of hand-picked villas and hotels in the most sought-after locations worldwide. Our belief in old-fashioned personal service and meticulous attention to detail remains unchanged – whether a client requests a bath with a view or a cook who can prepare local specialities – and has earned us an enviable reputation as one of the most respected villa holiday companies.
The Team
Managing Director, Francis Torrilla is proud to lead the team at CV Travel as well as sister chalet company Ski Verbier which offers a range of exclusive chalets and a boutique hotel in Verbier and a small collection of chalets in Chamonix.
The Greek Islands department is managed by Kathryn Enoch, with Jo Simmons as Head of Sales, ably supported by her team of consultants, Carla, Anita, Cherine and Rossella with Carolina and Avril providing invaluable administrative support. The Italian team is headed up by Dave Lorch, with Enzo Bocchetti as Head of Sales, supported by the extensive knowledge of Paola and Maria.
The Mediterranean team is led by Kevin Sillwood (Spain, Portugal & Great Britain) and Philip Leighton (France) assisted by Alison Starling as Assistant Product Head for France, with Gloria David as Head of Sales for Spain & Portugal, supported by the team of Sarah, Janice and Gary. Philip Leighton is responsible for the day to day running of our Caribbean and Worldwide programme, assisted by Marianna.
Our Pre-Departure Services team is headed up by Sonia d'Avino, with Daphne providing full support, Gina heads up Marketing with Sarah’s support, Hannah is our Website Manager, Tristan is our International Business Development Coordinator and looks after the CV Private Collection, and the Accounts team is led by Jackie Farr, assisted by Hayley and Ajay.
CV Travel is a closely knit team made up of individuals who are professional, approachable and friendly. We are an international and multi-lingual team with many members of staff who have grown up in the countries in which we have villas. Our teams travel regularly to our properties, thus we have a unique inside knowledge of our locations and cultures, and are able to give the best possible guidance and advice.
