La Campanilla

Situated in the hills behind the bays of Alcúdia and Pollensa, surrounded by six acres of almond groves and fruit trees with lovely views to the Son Martí hills and the Tramuntana Mountains, La Campanilla is a lovingly restored Mallorcan finca which is wonderfully secluded, perfect for a relaxing holiday.

The large swimming pool is bordered by a paved area, itself surrounded by low stone walls, and overlooked from the house by a partly shaded terrace, and the gardens benefit from clever landscaping and planting. Inside, there is a feeling of spaciousness and light, an uncluttered style with comfortable furnishings. The large living room with a log burning stove takes pride of place, complemented by a study/snug. Two of the four bedrooms have an en suite shower or bathroom, the master bedroom also enjoying access to a private terrace. The amenities and beaches of Alcúdia and Pollensa are a short drive away, and there are two golf courses nearby.

A local cook can be provided at this property, giving everyone the opportunity to really relax whilst away. This increasingly popular option can provide the service for given meals, or for multiple meals during the course of your holiday. and can work out extremely cost effective over restaurant prices. Cooks are on request and do need to be booked well in advance to avoid disappointment. They are usually payable locally at an hourly rate.

Destination introduction

At the foot of the Formentor peninsula, Puerto Pollensa looks onto a blissful south-facing bay where a vast expanse of sand meets shallow waters as blue as the sky. Behind it are the craggy cliffs and pine-scented slopes of the Sierra de Tramuntana. Puerto Pollensa’s popularity comes as no surprise but there is a second dimension for visitors to enjoy – for inland is the old town of Pollensa, an atmospheric labyrinth of cobbled streets and ochre sandstone houses, centred on the picturesque Plaza Mayor, and its unmissable Sunday market. Tuesday is market day at the lovely traditional village of Campanet and the old town of Alcúdia, with its Roman theatre, is worth exploring any day, both are just 15km away.
