We fell in love with La Ventana when we first saw it. Poised above the sea on a clifftop green with fragrant garrigue, the dazzling white villa enjoys an enviably secluded location with glorious views of the southern coast of Ibiza. The little village of Siesta is within easy walking distance.

When you step through the gateway of La Ventana, you step into a very intimate little retreat. It is virtually impossible to drag your eyes away from the panoramic view, out across the Cerulean sea to the Illa de Santa, along the coastline. Facing south, the villa is bathed in sunshine all day long with its terraces subsequently warmly inviting. Cooling off is a matter of taking a dip in the pretty hexagonal pool, or strolling to Siesta, with its sandy beach. The peace and quiet of this tranquil setting is broken only by the putter of a boat’s engine, or the waves breaking languidly on the huge boulders at the foot of the cliff. Inside the villa, quiet colours and inviting groupings of furniture complement the romantic mood and large windows allow the light and air to flood in. The living room in the main house opens on to a charming patio and the simply furnised separate annexe has its own entrance and outdoor seating area. This arrangement is ideal for couples or small families, but could equally make La Ventana the perfect place to take that very special person for a romantic escape.

A local cook can be provided at this property, giving everyone the opportunity to really relax whilst away. This increasingly popular option can provide the service for given meals, or for multiple meals during the course of your holiday. and can work out extremely cost effective over restaurant prices. Cooks are on request and do need to be booked well in advance to avoid disappointment. They are usually payable locally at an hourly rate.

Destination introduction

Just a few kilometres outside Santa Eulalia, Siesta is a small seasonal resort but nevertheless has a fine selection of restaurants and shops, a sandy beach and a spa. Separated from its bigger sister by a river –Siesta is built up a mountainside and enjoys wonderful views of the bay. An easy walk along the beach brings Santa Eulalia within reach, and more demanding walkers will find some strenuous but rewarding coastal walks in the other direction.
