Ronda Villas

Destination Information

One of the most populsr attractions in Andalucia, Ronda sits astride the deep El Tajo Gorge carved out by the rio Guadale over the centuaries. Despite its popularity Ronda retains much of its historic charm, which resonates in particular from the old town.

The 18th century Puente Nuevo 'new' bridge is surely the town’s most famous landmark, which takes you across the one hundred metre wide chasm whilst affording wonderful views down through the valley and out over the Serranía de Ronda mountains. Ronda is also the founding place of modern bullfighting, with the bull ring another impressive piece of architecture. The Plaza del Torro is now a museum with the ring itself open for exploration. Over the bridge you will find a cloistered convent dating back to the sixteenth century, art museum and mansions still home to some of the town’s titled families.
