Andalucia

Destination Information

Andalucia is a region of contrasts boasting vibrant coastal towns, the golden sands of the Costa del Sol, fantastic countryside of the Costa de la Luz, and whitewashed hilltop villages in the foothills of mountains.

East of Malaga, La Herradura is pretty and unspoilt, ideal for watersports, whilst the area around Comares enjoys charming fishing villages.

West of Malaga, away from the highlife of Marbella, the beautiful village of Istán enjoys fresh water springs, whilst the whitewashed houses of Mijas cling to the steep hillside and tiny shops line the beautiful narrow streets. Its neighbour Puerto Banús is highly fashionable with a busy marina, a range of restaurants and nightlife opportunities.

Inland from Estepona, the village of Casares nestles in the hillside, its white painted houses glistening in the sunshine. Further on is Gaucin, a spectacularly beautiful mountain village of twisting, narrow streets, commanding sweeping views to Gibraltar and the Rif Mountains of North Africa.

The Costa de la Luz, the ‘Coast of Light’, on the western side of Andalucia’s coastline is blessed with beautiful, fine sand beaches backed by dunes and pine groves. Less built up than the Costa del Sol, the region enjoys world-renown vineyards, hidden villages and welcoming cool Atlantic breezes.

CV Travel villas are in both coastal and inland locations, ranging from eclectic, romantic cottages to stylish villas for large groups.
