With fantastic, verdant gardens and a large pool the scene is set for a truly special holiday. Terraces have comfortable furniture ranging from canvas and cane in shaded pergolas to Moroccan style cushions on built-in bases for lounging al fresco and enjoying lovely views. A river, from which the house takes its name, forms the boundary of the lawned gardens, although only running at a trickle in summer, it proves an intriguing feature. Within the house there are airy rooms and big soft sofas, beautifully appointed bathrooms and a lovely kitchen. The cook prepares breakfast through the week and an arrival meal, meaning there is even more time to relax in the wonderful surrounds.
