The Oitavos

Nestling on one of the most prestigious golf courses in the region, and just half an hour from the capital, the newly built Oitavos has taken the best of modern and innovative design, and delivered a stunning hotel to complement the stunning coastline.

The Oitavos offers the finest facilities to practise and learn golf, but golf is not the only indulgence at this hotel.  A plethora of activities is available, for both adults and children, and the large spa, in keeping with the ethos of drawing from nature, offers seawater therapies amongst a host of organic and ocean inspired health and beauty treatments.

Dining opportunities include three full restaurants plus a range of bars and lounges for drinks and snacks. The focus is, of course, on delivering an exceptional Portuguese culinary experience, utilising the freshest local ingredients.

Room Description

Superior rooms are an excellent size, and have a private balcony and face East with views of the golf course and partial sea views from the balcony.

Premium rooms have a slightly larger area, and enjoy direct sea views.  The corner Premium rooms have a wrap around balcony.

Junior suites are located on the first floor and enjoy golf or partial sea views. Each has a very large balcony suitable for entertaining up to 10 people.

Atlantic suite is a very spacious 1 bedroom suite with separate living and dining area and large balcony with dramatic sea views.

Oitavos Suite is also a 1 bedroom suite with separate living and dining area, and the largest balcony in the hotel, offering sweeping views of the sea and golf.

Activities

The Oitavos Dunes Golf Course, developed by Quinta da Marinha, opened in 2001, and has since been recognised as one of the best natural links golf courses. Its sand dunes and ocean environment make playing it an enjoyable experience.

Facilities are avaialble to practise and learn golf. The Driving Range is adjacent to the first tee and is 300 metres long with 5 target greens, and it has a capacity of 60 players.

Also available in the nature reserve and just a short distance from the hotel is the Health & Racket club.  There are 3 squash courts, 10 tennis courts and 3 paddle tennis courts available, as well as a fully equipped gymnasium, 2 indoor pools and massage treatment rooms.

The Monte da Quinta Equestrian centre is one of the best equipped in the area and has a renowned riding school catering for all levels.

Your Location

The Estoril Coast is a spectacular region, and the beautiful beaches and natural wildness of the Sintra-Cascais National Park are well worth exploring, and within easy reach of the hotel.

The area has been popular since the 19th century as a holiday destination, and the delightfully cosmpolitan holiday town of Cascais is also nearby, and has a wide variety of boutiques, restaurants, cafes, and monuments to visit.
