Destination introduction
The old market town of Loule has a rich history and heritage with the remains of the castle found here dating back to the 12th century. Today the town’s landmark is the market hall having reopened in 2007 after being renovated, its architecture of classic Moorish influence. The weekly fair attracts people from all across the Algarve and there is an interesting museum showing the local industry of dried fruit production.
