This beautiful country house enjoys great privacy without being isolated and its hilltop setting allows glorious views across the countryside to the coast. With a particularly welcoming atmosphere, the Quinta instantly feels like home.

Quinta da Caiada sits in two hectares of almond orchards, olive and citrus groves, surrounded by terraces and gracious gardens with mature trees and flower beds, its hilltop setting giving out to glorious views across the countryside to the coast. The interior is well-planned, with accommodation on one level and the rooms are generously proportioned and decorated with an unassuming elegance. The large living/dining room is inviting with its fireplace, large sofas, and tiled floors strewn with Persian rugs, and opens on to a lovely partly-covered terrace for outdoor dining with a barbecue. All rooms in fact, open on to terraces and gardens. The bedrooms are charming, and the en suite bathrooms feature classic Portuguese tiling. There is a very beautiful swimming pool, framed by a sunbathing terrace and sheltered by manicured box hedges, with a shallow area for children. A tennis court, and a sauna with gym equipment are shared with a neighbouring property, and mountain bikes are provided. The pretty market town of Loulé is ten minutes away, and sandy beaches and excellent golf courses are nearby. This beautiful country house enjoys great privacy without being isolated, and is a lovely holiday villa.

A local cook can be provided at this property, giving everyone the opportunity to really relax whilst away. This increasingly popular option can provide the service for given meals, or for multiple meals during the course of your holiday. and can work out extremely cost effective over restaurant prices. Cooks are on request and do need to be booked well in advance to avoid disappointment. They are usually payable locally at an hourly rate.

Destination introduction

The old market town of Loule has a rich history and heritage with the remains of the castle found here dating back to the 12th century. Today the town’s landmark is the market hall having reopened in 2007 after being renovated, its architecture of classic Moorish influence. The weekly fair attracts people from all across the Algarve and there is an interesting museum showing the local industry of dried fruit production.
