Monte do Casal is a dignified early 19th century farmhouse, in a secluded hideaway near the delightful market town of Loulé, north from Faro in the hills, surrounded by a walled garden of great beauty and variety.

Full of character, splendid in its simplicity and unstinting in its comforts, the house has been extensively modernised inside, but it is still the huge rustic kitchen that forms the focus for lively gatherings. In addition, there is a large dining room seating ten, a spacious drawing room, and a television room. Each of the bedrooms in the main house has en suite facilities, one with a Victorian bath set into the old chimney breast. Beside the pool terrace is a separate guest annex., with twin and single bedrooms, a bathroom and kitchenette. The house enjoys a large gated swimming pool, set in its own sunny patio area. Just twenty kilometres from the beach at Vale do Lobo, Monte do Casal is a lovely house which is extremely popular, so early booking is recommended
