A traditional single-storey Portuguese farmhouse, Casa dos Passaros has been skilfully converted to offer comfortable living space. The villa is set within 2,500 square metres of gardens and orchards, surrounded by lawns and terraces shaded, in part, by huge palm trees. Extensively restored and now equipped with some very modern facilities, the property retains much of its old character, giving it a certain charm. The house has satellite TV, WiFi, MP3 compatible stereo and indoor games, albeit the lovely gateable swimming pool will inevitably be the centre of attraction, with a beautiful built-in barbecue. Sleeping arrangements are flexible, with accommodation divided between the main house and the simpler separate, self-contained guest cottage. A large outdoor covered porch with dining area and comfortable seating providing the ideal setting for al fresco dining, and there is a lovely gazebo.The property lies on the edge of the Ria Formosa Park, and is close to the town of Almancil, with beaches a short drive away, and prestigious resorts such as Vale de Lobo and Quinta do Lago, with golf and sports facilities, also nearby. Casa dos Passaros enjoys an established beauty, and is a delightful holiday villa.
