Il Molinazzo

Beautiful unspoilt countryside surrounds Orvieto and it is here that Il Molinazzo, a spacious property with lovely open views, many terraces and tennis court can be found.

Set in lovely pastoral countryside of rolling hills and medieval towns, Il Molinazzo has been restored to a high standard. This spacious property is furnished in a very attractive uncluttered Italian country style with warm country colour complemented by prints and decorative pieces. The beautiful large main sitting room has a large fireplace and comfortable sofas.  All bedrooms, each with their own colour scheme, are of equal standard of comfort and have pretty en-suite facilities.

The property is set in gardens with mature trees and roses and there is a particularly lovely westerly-facing shaded terrace with ample outdoor seating outside the sitting room, a second shady furnished terrace with seating and broad and shady furnished dining terrace just outside the large, well-equipped kitchen. Steps lead up through the well tended gardens to the pool set into its own panoramic grassy terrace above the property with the hard tennis court just a little further on.

A spacious property offering a high standard of accommodation with a choice of areas in shade or sun and tennis court, Il Molinazzo is a very good choice for relaxed summer living.

Private Swimming Pool

12m x 5.5m, 0.9m - 1.8m deep with built-in steps. Pool Towels. The pool is open from mid May until mid September. Outside these dates, the pool can be opened on request for an extra charge.

Welcome Provisions Included

A welcome gesture to offer you a drink after your journey; tea or coffee and biscuits, wine or juice and a snack. They are not sufficient for an entire meal. Owners will also generally leave a few other items to get you going such as some salt, sugar, oil, bin bags and toilet paper.

Food Hamper

Can be arranged for an additional cost and €30 service charge payable locally. For guests who are arriving late or who recognize they may be delayed and arrive with no time to do shopping. Shops are shut on Sundays, so the aim of the Food Hampers is to provide two light meals and two breakfasts, to allow guests to go out for one meal, then do more shopping on Monday. We can adapt these hampers to take into account allergies, dislikes and dietary requirements, or according to whether there are children in the party. Cook Service

Mirella, the housekeeper at Il Molinazzo, is also a good local cook and you may book her services by filling in the form attached.  She usually cooks in the evenings, Monday to Saturday, and she can leave a light luncheon for Sunday.  However, under particular circumstances, she may cook lunch instead of an evening meal, or by local arrangement, she may cook lunches and/or prepare breakfasts for you as well. The cook also helps clearing up the table but she does not stay later than 21h00-21h30. She will shop for the meals she cooks, and her fees include time taken shopping and travelling.

Booking and Prices

We charge a one-off booking fee in  payable in advance of departure directly to CV Travel London.

If you are happy with these arrangements, we need to know very soon if you would like the cook’s services, to book her well ahead of time.  We would therefore be grateful if you could ask for and complete the questionnaire and return it to us as soon as possible so that she is informed well in time that you would like her to cook for your party.  (Please note that the cook service is not available on Sundays or on Public Holidays).

Shopping

We suggest you stop at the supermarket in Guardea, approx 3 kms from the villa to shop for ‘basics’ and food for breakfasts on Sunday and Monday morning.  Most shops will be closed on Sunday, but the supermarket in Guardea is open on Sunday morning.  There is also a bigger supermarket in Orvieto (Super Conti) which is open all day on Sunday .  However, if you are arriving late (planes can be delayed), you may wish to a order a Food Hamper (enough for two light meals, 2 breakfasts, plus ‘basics’ - see the Travel Directory in the CV Italy brochure).

Note

Please bear in mind that the arrangements outlined above are an extra goodwill service organized by CV Travel, who cannot guarantee that the cook will always be able to prepare meals as requested. Should the cook become unavailable due to unforeseen circumstances, you will be refunded CV’s booking fee.

An English speaking CV representative in Italy will visit you and will be available by phone during your stay. Contact details will be sent with your travel documents.

Linen and Towels

Provided once per week on Saturday. Extra changes are available on request for an additional charge.

Maid Service

4 hours, 6 days a week.

Tenancy Times

Tenancies commence at 16:00hours on the day of arrival and villas are to be vacated at 10:00hours on the day of departure.
