Sdrucciolo

So many of our clients have regularly asked us over recent years for villas by the sea in Italy so we are delighted to include Sdrucciolo once again - a rare find in a setting of exceptional beauty.

Situated above Cala Piccola on the Argentario coastline, Sdrucciolo enjoys far-reaching views across the sea to the islands of Giannutri and Giglio. There are very few villas in this area and all of them are completely private. Sdrucciolo is no exception with its maze of terraced areas, swimming pool and countless spots in which to sit and do nothing except gaze across the sea.

Outside eating areas are set amidst the beautifully manicured gardens which lead down paths to the large oval shaped salt water pool directly above the ocean below. This is the best spot to simply relax in the sun and sip a drink from the bar, equipped with fridge and a blind to provide shade from the midday heat. Outside the house itself is a long terrace with sliding doors leading into the sitting room with its beamed ceiling and comfortable wooden furniture. Indeed, it almost feels as if one is at sea! Steps lead up to the dining area and beyond to the well-equipped kitchen with granite worktops.

A great asset to Sdrucciolo is Signora Ivetta, a fantastic cook who will make your stay even more special and memorable.

Upstairs, the prettily furnished en suite bedrooms with more classic high quality wooden furniture, benefit from magical views across the sea. Below the terrace and the main house are steps to a further twin bedroom cut into the rocks with en suite shower room. It is hard to imagine ever leaving Sdrucciolo and its pool but should one wish to take a dip in the ocean then nearby is the private Cala Piccolo club where clients of Sdrucciolo can enjoy the bar facilities at the beach.

Highly recommended for adult groups requiring a very comfortable villa by the sea.

Private Swimming Pool

12m x 5m, 1.25m - 2.70m deep with built-in steps; saltwater. The pool is open from mid May until mid September. Outside these dates, the pool can be opened on request for an extra charge. 

Basic Welcome Provisions Included

Owner will leave a few items such as some salt, sugar, oil, bin bags, dishwasher tablets and toilet paper.

Cook Service

We are delighted to let you know that Ivetta, the housekeeper at Sdrucciolo, will be cooking for you every day, enabling you to relax during your holiday and sample some traditional local food.

3 meals are left for you and are included in the rental of the house.

Ivetta and her daughter will arrive in the morning usually in time to prepare breakfast for you, having done the shopping for the day. Ivetta will then prepare and serve (or leave) lunch, and prepare and leave an evening meal for you to have cold or heat up, according to the menu chosen, unless you wish to dine out. Ivetta and her daughter usually leave at about 15 hours.

Should you wish for Ivetta to come back occasionally to cook a fresh meal for you  in the evening, she will tell you how much the charge will be.

The cost of food for meals is not included in the cook service, and you are kindly asked to reimburse Ivetta every day for what she spends, or better still, give her an advance float for shopping.

For your arrival Saturday evening meal, Ivetta will prepare a simple meal which she can leave for you.  She will also be doing some basic shopping for you, as indicated in the cook questionnaire

Please ask for, complete and return the cook questionnaire as soon as possible.

Food Hamper

Can be arranged for an additional cost and service charge payable locally. For guests who are arriving late or who recognize they may be delayed and arrive with no time to do shopping. Shops are shut on Sundays, so the aim of the Food Hampers is to provide two light meals and two breakfasts, to allow guests to go out for one meal, then do more shopping on Monday. We can adapt these hampers to take into account allergies, dislikes and dietary requirements, or according to whether there are children in the party. Linen and Towels

Provided once per week on Saturday. Extra changes are available on request for an additional charge

Maid and Cook Service

6 hours 7 days per week.

Tenancy Times

Tenancies commence at 16:00 on the day of arrival and villas are to be vacated at 10:00 on the day of departure.
