Vercenni

It is becoming more difficult to find somewhere to relax and escape for a while to a less demanding world. Such a place is Vercenni - an informal, welcoming property in a prime location right in the heart of Chianti.

The approach to Vercenni is spectacular. It is a wonderful surprise to discover that the tantalising glimpse of an imposing farmhouse at the end of a long, cypress-lined drive is your holiday villa! On a very large, private wooded estate, Vercenni enjoys magnificent views that stretch for miles over the neighbouring valleys, from tranquil corners of the garden, upper bedrooms, terraces, gardens and the shaded dining pergola near the pool.

The villa is comfortably furnished in Tuscan style with terracotta floors and spacious marble clad bathrooms. Thick wooden beams spread across a sitting room with a beautiful mural of the estate on a wall adjacent to the dining area and massive inglenook fireplace.

Downstairs lies a huge new kitchen that extends for most of the lower ground floor, with access to a panoramic terrace. Here, there is also a double bedroom with bathroom and a separate large shower room and access from here to the gardens and pool area.

With tennis, playground, chemist, supermarket, bars, trattorie and pizzeria, Radda in Chianti offers a range of facilities.  In the evening, a favourite pastime is to visit nearby Radda for a drink (or dinner), and delicious ice-cream.

The excellent cook is highly recommended for truly relaxed holiday living.

Lower Ground Floor: Master Double bedroom with bathroom/separate shower room en suite • Cloakroom • Kitchen with dining area opening out to gardens and terraces.

Outside: Pergola and barbecue by pool with a large table seating 10-12 people. Further outside dining large table and umbrella seating 10 people at the near end of the pool, closest to the house. On the back terrace there is a table seating 6 people.

Rental Conditions: No more than 11 guests are permitted.

Private Pool

10m x 8m (irregular shape), with built-in steps. The pool is open from mid May until mid September. Outside these dates, the pool can be opened on request for an extra charge.

Welcome Provisions Included

A welcome gesture to offer you a drink after your journey; tea or coffee and biscuits, wine or juice and a snack. They are not sufficient for an entire meal. Owners will also generally leave a few other items such as some salt, sugar, oil, bin bags and toilet paper.

Food Hamper

Can be arranged for an additional cost and service charge payable locally. For guests who are arriving late or who recognize they may be delayed and arrive with no time to do shopping. Shops are shut on Sundays, so the aim of the Food Hampers is to provide two light meals and two breakfasts, to allow guests to go out for one meal, then do more shopping on Monday. We can adapt these hampers to take into account allergies, dislikes and dietary requirements, or according to whether there are children in the party.

Availability on request and payable locally. Booking fee applicable.

CV Representative

An English speaking CV representative in Italy will visit you and will be available by phone during your stay. Contact details will be sent with your travel documents.

Linen and Towels

Towels changed twice per week on Wednesday and Saturday. Sheets changed once per week on Saturday. Extra changes are available on request for an additional charge).

Maid Service

3 hours, 4 days per week. Not Saturdays during mid tenancy.

Tenancy Times

Tenancies commence at 16:00 hours on the day of arrival and villas are to be vacated at 10:00 hours on the day of departure
