La Vigna

Sleeps up to: 4

Nestled in the heart of unspoilt, rural Tuscany, it is clear why this charming and pretty little cottage has taken the name 'La Vigna'. Sitting almost amongst the actual vines themselves it is difficult to find anywhere more in keeping with the true character of Chianti.

With views over the magnificent rolling countryside and vineyards so typical of the area, this rare find of a small but good quality house in Chianti is a treat for couples wishing to explore the myriad little towns & villages of this most quintessential area of Tuscany.

Set in a large garden area, both La Vigna and the shared pool are privately located, well away from the main house, and the proximity of its helpful and unobtrusive owners who often welcome guests is seen by many of our guests as a huge advantage of the house.

Room Description

Sitting room/Dining room • Kitchen Lower Ground Floor: Double bedroom • Twin bedroom • Bathroom

Rental Condition: La Vigna is only suitable for non-mobile infants or  children over 6 years old. The property is set on 12 hectares of land.  The owners cultivate vines, olives and fig trees on the land and live a separate  house with its own independent and totally separate access about 50 meters away in a raised position with respect to La Vigna. Their house is hidden from view  by a terraced garden and olive trees. The English speaking owners are unobtrusive, but willing to  assist guests with advice on local events and they can also sell their wine and  olive oil.

Destination introduction

Chianti is perhaps the best known of all Tuscany's varied panoramas. Located between Siena and Florence and known above all for its good wine, Chianti is dotted with pretty hill top towns and villages, green hills, undulating rows of vines, olive groves and swathes of pine and ancient oak. A perfect base for sightseeing, countryside pursuits and shopping trips.

Siena is high on the list of day trips for CV Travellers in Tuscany as it is brimming with beauty, culture, Renaissance art and architecture.  Highly recommended is a visit to the central piazza or 'Campo', the location of the famous Palio horse race, it's colourful cathedral, pretty shops and excellent restaurants.
