Archipettoli

Sleeps up to: 9

Near Florence and in a secluded and elevated position with panoramic views of the Apennines on a clear day, Archipettoli is an ideal base for exploring the cultural heritage of Tuscany.

Dating from the 13th century and located in a prime position for visiting Florence, Siena and the heart of Chianti, Archipettoli has been cleverly restored to offer a very well-equipped family home.

The 14 acres of private, landscaped gardens slope gently down to a large swimming pool nestling in the olive groves, set amidst extensive lawns bordered with flowers and the views to the Appenines and Apuan Alps are spectacular.

Special mention must be made of the outside covered terrace, ideal for admiring magnificent sunsets. Young and old alike will enjoy the solar heated pool shower, playing ping-pong and badminton and cooking on the barbeque. Highly recommended for all year as well as spring and autumn comfort. An ideal venue for autumn and winter breaks.  Please enquire if you are interested in long term rentals.

Destination introduction

Chianti is perhaps the best known of all Tuscany's varied panoramas. Located between Siena and Florence and known above all for its good wine, Chianti is dotted with pretty hill top towns and villages, green hills, undulating rows of vines, olive groves and swathes of pine and ancient oak. A perfect base for sightseeing, countryside pursuits and shopping trips.

Siena is high on the list of day trips for CV Travellers in Tuscany as it is brimming with beauty, culture, Renaissance art and architecture.  Highly recommended is a visit to the central piazza or 'Campo', the location of the famous Palio horse race, it's colourful cathedral, pretty shops and excellent restaurants.
