Villa Arienzo

Sleeps up to: 8

Ideally positioned on the dramatic mountainside above the azure coloured sea, this elegant and charming villa enjoys stunning views along the Amalfi Coast and offers a wonderful opportunity for both families and groups who enjoy a Mediterranean lifestyle.

Lemon trees and bougainvillea surround the spacious terrace of Villa Arienzo where one can enjoy the luxury of a dip in the beautifully designed pool after returning from the beach below.

Enriched with classic antique furniture, fine paintings and statues, this is the much loved home of its owner and exudes her wonderful combination of character and style. Walking into the villa from the attractively curved terrace with its marble tables and views to Villa Nuvolari in one direction and La Trasita in the other, one is instantly struck by the style and charm of the spaciously designed sitting-room with its large open fireplace lead-ing through to the equally stunning dining area.

Here, or out on the terrace, guests will benefit from the superb meals provided by the cook who has been with the owner for many years. Guests will love the relaxing and warm atmosphere of this glorious location and the more energetic will enjoy the walk down the series of steps to the beach for a swim in the fantastic warm waters of the Amalfi Coast.

Such a find would be a glorious venue for a truly relaxing holiday in both summer and winter with all the comforts of a real home. The seclusion and peace of such a haven are a rare find in Positano and we are sure that our clients will be delighted by this unique opportunity.

Destination introduction

Dividing the two Gulfs of Naples and Salerno is the appealing Sorrentine peninsula, home to the characteristic town of Sant’Agata sui due Golfi, the only place on the coast where there are panoramic views of both gulfs, with beautiful views of Vesuvius.  At the tip of the Sorrentine peninsula is the pretty town of Sorrento; the nearest point on the mainland to the island of Capri.

South of Sorrento is the Amalfi coast, one the most stunning coastlines in the whole Mediterranean, where deep mountains simply plunge into the sea. The sensational, windy coast road bypasses picturesque villages which cling to the rocks and slope down to delightful beaches – each more beautiful then the last.  And it is village of Positano where we are lucky enough to have some unique and special rental properties.  Intersected by a network of steep little alleyways, boutiques and restaurants, they hide distinctive houses clinging to the rocks, graced with wide terraces, and cascading flowers, all leading down to the main piazza and beach – with the dome of the church of Santa Maria Assunta always predominant.

Ischia is the largest of the three main islands in the stunning Bay of Naples, connected by short hydrofoil/ferry journeys from Naples and its neighbouring islands of Procida and Capri.  Ischia continues to delight hedonists looking to relax in the spas, swim from its sandy beaches and sample the island’s exceptional local seafood and Epomeo wine.
