The winding lanes and tracks of Paxos often leave the visitor with a sense of suspense and the track leading through olive groves to this adorable house is no exception – there is little to be seen but a couple of houses and a lot of trees. Anticipation is more than rewarded, when the track ends at two new stone-built houses, their elevated position commanding a vista of deeply azure sea. The smaller of the two houses is that Paxos rarity – a villa for two people. The other house, below, belongs to the British owner, and is completely independent. Villa Sal is quite enchanting – surrounded by terraces, with a lovely mosaic tiled swimming pool and a natural garden shaded by olive trees. The view from this corner of the villa is absolutely beautiful, across the tree-tops and the shimmering sea to the mainland. Furnished in a simple and fresh style with the addition of some of the owner’s distinctive artwork, this house is brimming with character and will be the setting for a memorable holiday. Both Gaios and the wonderful beach of Kaki Lagada are easily accessible by car.

Ugrade to Sea Taxi Transfers: recommended for large groups and when travel arrangements do not coincide with our scheduled transfers. Please do ask for a quotation. 

Boat Hire: There is no better way to explore the coastline and discover deserted bays and coves with their translucent water to add to the overall enjoyment of your holiday. Small boats and speedboats can be pre-booked with our UK office prior to departure and we recommend early reservations, especially in July and August, as availability is limited.

Gaios Introduction

The Venetian capital of the island, approached by a sheltered inlet, Gaios is a lively and colourful little town with its main square open to the sea on one side. The quaysides play host to an entertainingly cosmopolitan variety of yachts, especially in high season. Internet café available, but Gaios has this year made a concession to the present and WiFi is available in the entire area of the main town square.
