Villa Cercis, named after the magenta - blossomed trees that brighten the Ionian Islands in early spring, occupies a stunning position high on the hillsides above the delightful harbour of Sivota, well-known to yachtsmen. The views are fantastic, ranging across the tip of Lefkada and beyond to Kefalonia and the smaller offshore islands. The design of the villa is most unusual for Lefkada, as it is strongly influenced by the Tuscan style of building. In fact it is all one building and in the centre is the long open-plan living room with integral bespoke kitchen; the big arched windows opening on to a covered terrace that is very comfortably furnished for outdoor living and commands superb views. On either side of this central area are the bedrooms, all with en suite bath or shower rooms and private balconies. In front of the villa is a magnificent private swimming pool with suntrap terraces and more of those completely breathtaking views. Sivota is very easy to reach and has many possibilities for a memorable meal of fresh fish or local specialities, at one of its waterfront tavernas.

Recommended: Boat hire (moored in Nidri). Boats can be delivered and collected (Euro 20 delivery charge each way) and moored in Sivota if required.
