If there were one reason alone to choose Agrepavlis as a summer holiday retreat, it would be for the views. This beautiful and unusual villa is also an interesting building filled with a fascinating mix of modern and antique furnishings with a hint of Belle Epoque elegance. There is almost an urban formality about the rather grand colonnaded loggia that opens on to the magnificent paved pool terrace, but this is offset by the beauty of the natural garden where a rocky hillside is carpeted with the sweet-smelling lavender, thyme and oregano that is so typical of Greece. A beautiful, curtained pergola is set to one side of the terrace, a lovely setting for an outdoor meal, while another stone terrace, shaded by olive trees, is set on the other side of the house. Inside, the living accommodation is dispersed over two floors, with the first-floor bedrooms opening on to a terrace with superb sea views. The villa is only 4 kilometres from the small port of Sivota that offers a number of useful amenities such as shops and restaurants. On the same estate, some 40 metres away, is a smaller cottage, completely independent but rented together, the two properties would be perfect for a large party of family or friends.
