The English owners of Villa Katerina were amongst the first to fall under the spell of the beauty of the St Stephano area, more than thirty years ago. The villa has evolved over the years into a charming and comfortable house that continues to be the choice of discerning clients seeking a relaxing and peaceful holiday in an outstandingly tranquil area. The villa remains enviably private and retains the romance of an ‘Englishman’s home abroad’, a settled atmosphere in which one day flows pleasantly into the next, asking nothing of the guests other than putting aside the ‘real world’ for a while. Magical views – described by one distinguished guest as the best in Europe – are there to be contemplated, over 500 books are there to be read, an enchanting south-facing swimming pool is there to be enjoyed and, if you are up to negotiating a steep path with steps, there is some excellent sea-bathing below from a quiet beach.

Boat Hire: There is no better way to explore the coastline and discover deserted bays and coves with their translucent water to add to the overall enjoyment of your holiday. Small boats and speedboats can be pre-booked with our UK office prior to departure and we recommend early reservations, especially in July and August, as availability is limited.

St Stephano Introduction

St Stephano is a pretty little harbour with lots of waterborne activity in its horseshoe shaped bay, seafront tavernas and something of interest for visitors of all ages. It is also particularly child-friendly. For adults and older teenagers, the more sophisticated attractions of Kassiopi are not far away.

Those who love walking and exploring should follow the coastal path around the protected headland between St Stephano and Avlaki – with no less than three natural lakes and a string of almost deserted beaches, wild life is abundant.
