Anyone staying at this most attractive villa in Corfu must feel that they have the 'best seats in the house’ when it comes to spectacular views. Its terraces and balconies take full advantage of its hillside situation, making it quite likely that reading a book, completing the Sudoko challenge, or writing postcards will be abandoned in favour of contemplating the massive limestone crags of Mount Pantocrator and the glittering sweep of Barbati  Bay. Amphithea contrasts classic style and modern decorating ideas with an interior that is spacious and has a very contemporary feel about it. A short flight of stairs leads down from the efficiently planned kitchen/ dining room level to the sitting room, which in its turn opens on to a covered verandah equipped with stylish rattan seating and having access to the pool area. In the height of summer, hillside houses such as this offer a retreat from busy roads and crowded beaches, with the added benefit of mountain breezes. All this lies at the end of a rather steep road, but only one kilometre from the lovely beaches and comprehensive amenities of Nissaki.

Boat Hire: There is no better way to explore the coastline and discover deserted bays and coves with their translucent water to add to the overall enjoyment of your holiday. Small boats and speedboats can be pre-booked with our UK office prior to departure and we recommend early reservations, especially in July and August, as availability is limited.

Barbati, Nissaki & Spartilas Introduction

Barbati’s long white pebble beach and Nissaki’s necklace of pristine beaches, linked by olive tree-clad promontories, characterise one of Corfu’s loveliest regions.

This resorts still have their own particularly friendly atmosphere, and are marvellous for families, with lots of family-run tavernas on or close to clean Blue Flag beaches, excellent water sports, and some lovely walks on the hillsides behind. The ideal area for a quiet holiday.
