Melyssia House is the latest of a growing number of villas that offer an exceptionally  high standard of property and service. Private and luxurious, staffed with a chef and housekeeper who also acts as concierge, this is a property in which guests can truly relax and be looked after from the moment they arrive.

The beautiful pool, with its generous terraces, is fed by a rustic stone waterfall and is one  of the most spectacular features of the property; its horizon edge is bordered  by the turquoise bay of Avlaki below and flanked by the stunning mountains of the Albanian coast. There are numerous, comfortable outdoor living spaces with gorgeous views and plenty of entertaining space.

Inside, the look is contemporary, earthy glamour which creates a relaxed and inviting  atmosphere. Pale greys and off-white colours contrast with chalky accents of lime, peacock blue, olive and gold. Contemporary furniture, artwork and sculpture are mixed with antique and vintage pieces from France and India, and unique decorative objects include an Amazonian tree-trunk coffee table, a Russian icon and a Touareg wood carving. The well-equipped modern kitchen, with  its fossilized sea-bed worktops, also contains a wine fridge and American fridge-freezer.

Individually and stylishly decorated with uncluttered elegance, all bedrooms open out onto  terraces with fabulous views over the island of Kaparelli and across to Albania.  Cushions, blinds and bedspreads are rich and textured, with silks and linens sourced from around the world.

For those that can’t leave their work behind , there is a beautiful, air conditioned office with magnificent views, equipped with wired internet access and a printer.

There is a marvellous feeling of seclusion at this very private villa, and the spectacular  pool, small gym, large TV room downstairs, which is equipped with DVDs and  games, should keep even the most demanding of guests entertained. However just a few minutes away in the car, the shingle beach at Avlaki offers watersports, picturesque St. Stephano draws the crowds for unbeatable waterside cocktails and dining, and the harbour town of Kassiopi with its shopping, restaurants and bars is particularly popular with teenagers.

We are delighted that this beautiful house, impressive in scale and intimate in feel,  which has been designed primarily as a family home, has become available for a  limited time over the summer.
