Clos des Roses

Sleeps up to: 18

Seldom does a property appeal to our imagination as Clos des Roses,  originally built in 1840 as a 'gentleman's residence’ it has since been stunningly converted into a stylish and luxurious home.

We cannot imagine a more welcoming home from home for those who wish to escape from hectic lifestyles and regimented suburban living. Lovingly restored by its' owners Clos des Roses boasts two sitting rooms, two dining rooms, and numerous bedrooms all with en suite bathrooms. The wonderful romantic arcades of the courtyard or any one of the multiple patios and terraces provide delightful outside dining areas. From the central courtyard, with its elegant and formal rose garden, there is an entrance into the swimming pool area, which is beautifully secluded and with views looking to the West.

Clos des Roses has been carefully renovated over the last three years with craftsmen entirely dedicated to restoring this architecturally splendid house. Many of the craftsmen were members of the prestigious, 'Compagnons de France'. The main house was built in 1840 on land formerly owned by the Duchy of Uzes, now the park surrounding the house has a stone wall and is composed of gardens with lavender, rose beds, mature oak, cedar, pine and olive trees. For guests who prefer to be more active, there is plenty to do here. Relish the splendidly large pool with its added jacuzzi feature, or perhaps test your skills on the professional 'boules' court, which is hidden within the garden. For the very active there are 2 tennis clubs conveniently located within a 3- minute drive from the house with free membership included. A caretaker and wife team lives unobtrusively in a separate house to ensure the smooth running of the property.
