Le Couvent des Minimes Hotel & Spa

Historical retreat

Founded in 1613, Le Couvent des Minimes became an important focus of the local community for centuries. Having been transformed into a luxurious and indulgent hotel in 2008, a new chapter in it's history has begun.

Surrounded by an aromatic garden, the ancient convent has been converted with elegance and style, but remains an unpretentious hotel with 46 comfortable guest rooms. The bedrooms are distinguished by their light and airy spaciousness, their muted contemporary colour schemes, and their magnificent bathrooms. The atmosphere is peaceful, a reflection of what we imagine must be typical of a retreat like this, but the expectations of today’s guests are more than adequately met, with indoor and outdoor swimming pools, satellite TV and hifi in the bedrooms, and free WiFi throughout the hotel.

The beautiful internal courtyard with its cloisters makes the ideal setting for a leisurely breakfast to start the day and lends its name to the hotel’s excellent gourmet restaurant, Le Cloitre, where Mediterranean cuisine benefits from the freshest of ingredients gathered from the convent gardens. It is from these ancient gardens, too, that the spa sources the honey, verbena, lemon and lavender that feature so importantly in the products used in the treatments.
