Boasting steeply-pitched, tiled roofs and ivy-draped walls, La Pommarède is a lovely example of a traditional Dordogne house. The beautiful gardens include sweeping lawns, with lots of shady corners and a large and very inviting swimming pool.

The living space includes the ground floor of the main house and the converted barn next door, while the original beamed ceilings and enormous stone fireplaces set off comfortably furnished, traditional interiors. The separate living, dining and kitchen arrangement provides much flexibility and privacy for several families. In the vicinity there are wonderful woodland walks with great vistas over the Fôret du Landais. Beautiful Bastides, prehistoric caves, a number of châteaux and Romanesque churches offer a wealth of culture.The rivers for which this area is rightly famous offer kayaking, swimming and rowing, meaning your holiday here can be as energetic or relaxing as you choose. Please note La Pommarède is furnished with a number of antiques and porcelain pieces and therefore extra care needs to be taken with younger children.
