La Belle d'Antibes

Sleeps up to: 14

This beautiful property is surrounded by attractive, private grounds, with views to the sea and is perfectly located to explore the many delights of the Côte d'Azur. A much-loved home, the house boasts art and furniture brought back from the owners’ travels in the Orient, and features many creature comforts.

La Belle d'Antibes is located in a quiet, high-end residential area of Cap d’Antibes, just five minutes from the sea and within easy reach of the lively town of Juan-les-Pins. Shaded by mature Mediterranean Umbrella Pine, the house is everything we would expect of a Riviera home elegantly decorated, enormously comfortable, and with a welcoming air that puts the visitor at ease from the start. Bedrooms benefit from excellent en suite bathrooms, the kitchen is well set up for those who like to cook and entertain and the sitting area is a great retreat, with a huge fireplace, opening through large windows on to a shaded terrace overlooking the pool. Luxury accessories include a separate cinema room complete with a large plasma screen, and a gym. Outside there is a good-sized garden with lovely areas of lawn and a large swimming pool, surrounded with comfortable seating and loungers, where you can relax whilst taking in the view. The villa is perfectly placed for visits to some of the most beautiful coastal scenery in France, with creeks, escarpments and fine sandy beaches. Its local resorts need no introduction – Antibes, Juan-les-Pins, Cannes and Nice simply are the Riviera for most people.

So many artists have found their inspiration here and Juan-les-Pins is home to the Picasso Museum and the Museum dedicated to the work of Raymond Peynet, fondly remembered for his charming illustrations of lovers. Needless to say, shopping, nightlife and restaurants are fantastic in this area and there are many excellent sports opportunities too, both on sea and on land. La Belle d'Antibes must be one of the most suitable properties for anyone seeking to immerse themselves in the real Riviera.

Destination introduction

Ever since the Romans colonised the South of France and spent days lounging around their pools, the province has conjured up an image of glamour and elegance. It is a paradise that has a very individual appeal. Fine wines, fragrant olive oils, stunning Riviera towns - the list is endless and the variety unmatched.

Some of our finest villas in France can be found along the Cote D'Azur. The rich unspoilt coastline around Saint-Raphaël and Fréjus with its dramatic cliffs and stunning coves. 150 years ago Cannes was nothing more than a fishing village. Since then it has become an elegant city and attracts an international clientele. Cannes is simply wonderful, with many facets and much variety. The Haute Ville offers a breathtaking view of the whole city surrounded by the blue sea and the Lérins Islands. Whilst below in the Vieux Port along the Quai Saint-Pierre, fishing boats and pleasure boats sit side by side, and Cannes would not be complete without a walk along 'La Croisette', one of the most famous promenades in the world.

Antibes Juan-les-Pins is one of the best-known resorts on the Côte d'Azur, located between Nice (20km) and Cannes (12km). The town of Antibes is chic and laid back with a variety of restaurants, cafés, theatres and chic hotels, whilst Juan-les-Pins is for night owls with fashionable night clubs, a casino and even night shopping. For a long time Antibes was the only large town between Marseille and Italy and has managed to conserve historic monuments from each period in its heritage.

Only 15 minutes from Cannes, the superb medieval village of Mougins is set amongst pine, olive and cyprus trees. Surrounded by forests (the Valmasque forest covers 427 hectares) Mougins has maintained its beauty, and offers visitors a panoramic view of the Baie de Cannes, the Lérins Islands, Grasse and the “Préalpes”. On the village outskirts, some of our most luxurious villas in France are hidden behind magnificent Mediterranean parks and gardens.
